Born & raised in Oakland, CA André was surrounded by multi-cultural art spaces and people especially Brazilians. After studying at Oakland School for the Arts and New School University in New York City, André performed professionally as a dancer, drummer and actor in and around New York City for five years.

Constant curiosity and creativity of dance videos, musical compositions and live theater dance works are the center of his practice. André also teaches youth and adults towards freely and expressing themselves through well trained movement techniques and ideas. Movement and music are therapeutic practices that go beyond thought into alternate dimensions only felt by the human creative spirt.

Andrés movement and musical styles are ever-expanding, with roots in hip hop, Brazilian culture, ballet, broadway and more all of which he trained and performed professionally for over a decade.

Art is abundant as it gives me an irreplaceable sense of freedom, creative problem solving, clarity and health in all aspects of life.
